Scenic Carpenter

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is now seeking Scenic Carpenters for a project located in Gainesville, FL!!

Pay Rate: $25 - $30/hr (based on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Construct and assemble desks, walls, and other set pieces for television productions
- Use hand and power tools such as drills, screwdrivers, saws, and hammers
- Follow blueprints, sketches, and instructions to ensure precise measurements and construction
- Assist with set installation and disassembly as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and proper tool handling
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a carpenter, handyman, or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or design plans
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction well
- Punctuality and reliability
- Experience in set design or stage construction is a plus
- Familiarity with TV production environments is beneficial
- Knowledge of additional trades (e.g., painting, electrical work) is a plus
- Own Tools and ability to bring them to the jobsite: hand tools, drill, saw, hammer, tape measure, pencil
