Welder**
**Job Description**
Join a team at a leading distributor of stainless steel and aluminum as a Welder. As a part of a full line distributor, you will work with a variety of materials including plate, sheet, angles, rounds, flat bar, tubing, and pipe. We provide comprehensive in-house training on all our machines, making this an ideal opportunity for those with relevant experience.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform welding tasks primarily using MIG and TIG techniques.
+ Work with stainless steel and aluminum materials.
+ Read and interpret blueprints for fabrication and assembly tasks.
+ Execute manufacturing and production duties including sheet metal work, press brake operations, and fitting.
+ Grind and finish welded parts as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in welding or completion of welding school.
+ Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, including pedal and button TIG.
+ Experience with stainless steel and aluminum.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with manufacturing/production, assembly, and sheet metal.
+ Skills in press brake, weld, and fabrication.
+ Familiarity with flux core and stick welding.

**Work Environment**
Work in a medium-sized metal fabrication facility with a distribution center. The environment is clean but not air-conditioned. The team consists of 7 people, with a total of 50 people on site. Shift options include working 4/10's starting at 7 am or a weekend shift (Friday 12 hours, Saturday 12 hours, Sunday 12 hours, Monday 4 hours). Work attire includes covered shoes, work shirt, and jeans. No hats or jewelry are allowed, and a work uniform is provided.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
