Pipefitter Job Description We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter with a minimum of 5 years of experience specializing in industrial and process piping systems, particularly within hospital, industrial, and heavy institutional installations. The ideal candidate must be proficient in industry-standard and code-compliant construction practices and capable of reading and interpreting blueprints. Demonstrated experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, heating and cooling lines, chiller and boiler setting, hook-ups and piping, as well as mechanical room or central utility plant experience, is essential. Candidates should also have experience in copper sweating and brazing. Responsibilities Install and maintain industrial and process piping systems, focusing on hospital, industrial, and heavy institutional installations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and construction codes. Read and interpret blueprints to guide installation and maintenance processes. Demonstrate proficiency in working with stainless steel, carbon steel, and various piping materials. Perform tasks related to heating and cooling lines, chiller and boiler settings, hook-ups, and piping. Work within mechanical rooms or central utility plants. Show expertise in copper sweating and brazing. Essential Skills Minimum 5 years of experience as a pipefitter. Familiarity with industrial and process piping systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel piping. Knowledge of heating and cooling lines, chiller and boiler settings. Proficiency in copper sweating and brazing. Ability to work with Scot 40 steel at 8, 6, and 4 inches. OSHA 10-hour certification required prior to start. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with bevel joints and pipe spool usage. Knowledge of pipe fitting and piping techniques.
