Land Survey Technician
Job Description

Join a dynamic full-service surveying office where you will engage in in-house surveying and field work. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Subdivision Maps, Legal Descriptions, Condominium Plans, and Construction Staking Calculations.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and coordinate with field crews to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain open communication with clients to address their needs and concerns.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other CAD platforms for drafting and calculations.
  • Conduct research on government survey records, utility records, and property boundaries.
  • Oversee or support field survey operations, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Extensive knowledge in topography and land surveying.
  • At least 3 years of experience in field surveying.
  • Possession of or current pursuit of a professional surveyor license (PLS).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in engineering and surveying deliverables.
  • Capability in conducting thorough research of survey and utility records.
  • Strong technical and organizational abilities.
Work Environment

The survey team consists of 26 members with plans for expansion. Enjoy flexible hours with a potential remote work option available three days a week. The work week is Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours, with a flexible start time between 7-9am. Full in-house opportunities are available for PLS candidates, providing a supportive environment for professional growth. The company promotes from within and offers a performance-based bonus plan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.
