Welder/Fabricator Job Description The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding structural metal products including machinery frames, tanks, and components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding. This role requires interpreting blueprints, operating various fabricating machines, and maintaining high standards for safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble structural metal products. Weld using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques. Interpret blueprints accurately to guide fabrication processes. Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, welders, and drill presses. Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain a clean work environment. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding. Experience in fabrication and welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of geometric tolerances and dimensions. Strong math skills including geometry and algebra. Skillful use of precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. One-year welding certificate from a college or technical school preferred. Minimum of six months of related welding and fabrication experience required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately. Computer proficiency preferred. Why Work Here?
