Job Description

This role involves overseeing new construction, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects across diverse sectors, including healthcare, education, industrial, commercial, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and communicate project schedules to plan upcoming activities and stay on target.
  • Provide ongoing scheduling input to Project Management staff for all scheduling efforts.
  • Coordinate daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction.
  • Complete all project construction in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Manage construction budgets set by the Project Manager, track construction costs, and submit all invoices to Accounting in a timely manner.
  • Prepare daily log reports for the site conditions, manpower, and activities in sufficient detail.
  • Ensure all parties follow all safety procedures and practices according to both OSHA and company requirements.
  • Conduct pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors to ensure work activities are conducted safely.
  • Ensure appropriate machinery and tools are available to assigned construction workers and that hand tools and power tools are in proper working order.
  • Schedule and participate in necessary inspections required by local and state regulations. Organize final inspections for completed work.
  • Monitor daily construction procedures to ensure proper quality is achieved.
  • Maintain consistent daily communication with project management staff to inform all parties of current project status and potential issues affecting progress.
  • Respond to onsite incidents and emergencies per company procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years construction supervisory experience in commercial construction.
  • Solid background in civil/grading work, concrete foundations, tilt walls, elevated slabs, and masonry.
  • Project values $14 million+ are desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of associated trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and finish trades.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement.
  • Experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors, and equipment.
  • Computer skills required Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), prior experience with scheduling software is a plus.
  • 5+ years ground up commercial construction experience.
  • Experience running jobs independently.
  • Strong comprehension of concrete steel drawings/reinforcement.
  • Understanding of crane work (certifications).
Work Environment

Work on commercial construction job sites throughout the country, primarily on large self-storage facilities and some medical facilities. The role includes working under construction conditions, with standard safety measures in place.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $62.50/hr.
