Job Summary
Asa Carlton, Inc., a commercial construction company headquartered in Braselton, GA, currently has an opening for a commercial Construction Superintendent. We are seeking candidates with extensive experience in ground-up Fuel Station/Convenience Store projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing projects nationwide across the entire US.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for on-site management of ground-up Fuel Station/Convenience Store construction projects.
Supervising, managing, and working with teams traveling to locations throughout the US.
Responsible for coordinating and completing specific projects on time, within budget with a keen eye for quality, safety, and production.
Prepare daily field reports, progress reports, production reports, time sheets, expense reports, etc. and provide timely progress updates to the Asa Carlton Project team.
Responsible for scheduling and ensuring the appropriate staffing of daily construction activities with subcontractors and vendors.
Maintain all construction scheduling to ensure deadlines and project deliverables are met. Provide weekly lookahead schedules to the Project team.
Responsible for onsite inventory management of all material and equipment. Performs audits as needed and tracks and receives material deliveries.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and key team members to ensure that project specifications are met.
Assists the Project Team to obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
Comply with building codes as well as legal requirements of authorities having jurisdiction.
Ensures all work is performed safely in compliance with all safety policies and procedures and OSHA requirements.
Conduct and document weekly Jobsite Safety Analysis (JSA), and toolbox safety meetings.
Enforce project quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) standards.
Coordinate, conduct, and document QA/QC meetings and inspections at the jobsite.
Maintains and organizes a clean job site.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Position RequirementsRequirements
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Superintendent in Commercial construction, with at least 5 years of experience in ground-up Fuel Station/Convenience Store construction.
Proven experience of successfully completing ground-up commercial projects ranging from $5-15MM.
OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
Candidate must have a proven record of successfully completing projects on time and with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is highly detail oriented, a strong problem solver, and possesses the ability to work with subcontractors, vendors, owner representatives, city officials, and design/engineering professionals at all levels.
Ability to read, understand, interpret, and apply standard to complex construction documents, drawings, and specifications for Fuel Station/Convenience Store projects.
Must have the ability to push, pull, and lift material up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that involve stooping, walking, bending, searching for items, and standing for periods of time.
Must demonstrate good judgment and show respect for others.
Proficient skill level with technology, computer systems, iPads, & knowledge of MS Office Suite, with an emphasis in Excel.
Professional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and time management ability.
Must demonstrate good judgment and show respect for others.
Must own, have the knowledge of, and the ability to use hand tools including power tools.
Must be able to travel to any US work location.
Ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
A valid drivers license and reliable transportation is required.
Superintendent is a traveling position requiring nationwide travel of 100% throughout the entire US.
