Summary Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES: Assemble and TIG weld aerospace castings and details Use fixtures, tools, and gauges to produce aerospace parts meetings blueprint drawing tolerances Follow detailed work instructions Practice weld procedures per GE and Nadcap/AWS specifications Work in a team environment, participate in Action Workouts, and contribute to the LEAN Manufacturing workplace Practice safe work habits and maintain a hazard-free work environment QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Must have minimum of two years Gas Tungsten Arc (Heliarc) welding experience Pass Gas Tungsten Arc Weld test on nickel base, cobalt base and stainless steel alloys (groove and fillet welding per MIL-W-1595) Prefer 2 years of college or trade school background or professional industry equivalency Must be able to complete qualification training on nickel and cobalt per AWS D17.1 Good attendance, attitude and work habits will be required Employee must have no disqualifications on his/her record for the past six months Desirable Qualifications: Prefer 2 years of college or trade school background or professional industry equivalency Additional Information: If you are a qualified individual with a disability or a disabled veteran, you have the right to request a reasonable accommodation for purposes of participating in the application/hiring process with GE.
