Description

Our client, is seeking a skilled Estimator / Project Manager to support the full project lifecyclefrom pre-construction estimating through to project execution and close-out. They are a recognized leader in the civil infrastructure and land development sector across the Lower Mainland.

This dual-role position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in both analytical and operational environments, and who is passionate about building the infrastructure that supports growing communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects including earthworks, utilities, roadworks, and site servicing.

Analyze drawings, specifications, and subcontractor quotes to develop accurate bids.

Participate in tender reviews and value engineering exercises.

Maintain and update unit pricing databases and historical cost records.

Project Management:

Oversee project execution from award to close-out, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.

Coordinate with site superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and manage change orders and RFIs.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

MUST HAVE:

Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in estimating and/or project management in civil construction.

Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., HCSS, HeavyBid) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore).

Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure, site servicing, and roadworks.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Valid BC drivers license.

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience with public sector tendering (e.g., City of Surrey, Metro Vancouver).

Familiarity with COR-certified safety programs and environmental compliance.

PMP or Gold Seal Certification (or working toward it).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
