Job Opening: Structural Welder - 2nd Shift | $33/hr Max + $2 Differential Pay: Up to $33/hr (based on skills & weld tests) + $2/hr shift differential Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4pm to 2:30am (4-day workweek!) Weld Your Way to a Solid Career We're hiring a Structural Welder to join a high-impact team building steel bridge components from the ground up. If you're a skilled fluxcore MIG welder who thrives in a hands-on shop and doesn't mind getting a little dirty, this role is for you. From blueprint layouts to overhead crane operationthis is full-throttle welding work with potential to grow into a lead role. What You'll Do MIG weld steel bridge components (up to " thick) using fluxcore Work from blueprints to execute full layouts and fabrication Operate overhead cranes, band saws, grinders, and drill presses Navigate the shop to weld in a variety of positionssometimes under or around structures Take a 3G vertical up weld test on 7/8 plate (full penetration, X-ray quality) Who You Are Experienced in structural MIG welding and ready to show your skills Able to work independently, solve problems, and adapt to the job Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in tight spaces Willing to learn and test into higher weld positions (3F/4F/3G) Bonus if you've led weld teams or aspire to move into a leadership role The Shop Vibe This is a raw, real-deal fabrication environmentexpect a bit of grime, no AC, and plenty of hustle. You'll join a close-knit crew where efficiency and pride in the craft go hand in hand. Shop size: small and agile Breaks: Two 15-minute breaks + 30-minute unpaid lunch Materials: Mostly structural steel, bridge components Perks & Growth Competitive pay based on skill and weld test performance $2/hr shift differential Contract-to-Hire path with long-term potential Annual bonus opportunity Space to grow into a lead welder position Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
