Experienced Certified Welder

Checkpoint Welding and Fabrication, a family owned general job-shop is looking to add an experienced welder to our team.

D1.1 Structural Certified MIG Welder

TIG and FluxCore Welding a plus!

First Shift Monday-Friday 7:30am until 4:00pm
or
Second Shift Monday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:00pm
Full-Time position + Great Benefits

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, operates a manual welder and inspects/ensures the production of quality parts.

Skills:
Ability to visualize and interpret blue prints and sketches
Manufacture quality parts by referring to the provided drawings
Ability to use the basic inspection equipment (calipers, height gauge, etc.) to be able to inspect parts being produced by the individual
Ability to produce quality welds
Maintain a clean and safe work area for efficient operation

Experience and Skills Required:
Welding Certificate
At least two years of welding and other related mechanical and shop experience preferred which
Ability to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Knowledge of basic welding
