A locally owned wood-product manufacturer and supplier in Kalispell, Montana, is seeking a Moulder Operator. They specialize in custom and architectural wood products, including unfinished and prefinished moldings, trim, hardwood plywood panels, casework, cabinetry, furniture, siding, timbers, and flooring elements like baseboards and wood blocks.
The Moulder Operator is essential to producing precision-crafted materials that meet both aesthetic and functional standards. The role combines craftsmanship, machinery knowledge, and production efficiency. The Ideal candidate will have experience in cabinetry fabrication and custom mill work.
Pay: $25 to $35/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Essential Functions and Duties:
Set up and operate the moulder machine, adjust cutter heads, feed rollers, and guides to match desired profiles and wood dimensions
Run custom profiles for trim, casing, baseboard, crown molding, siding, and other specialty pieces
Interpret and communicate job sheets and delivery tickets
Monitor output for quality control and make necessary machine adjustments mid-run
Properly use cutting tools such as chop saw, table saw, router, resaw, drills etc.
Assist other shop departments (e.g., finishers, assemblers, or delivery personnel) to meet production deadlines
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of production woodworking experience
Mechanical aptitude and comfort with routine machine maintenance
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
