NAIK Consulting Group, PC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Architect Project Manager to support the delivery of complex infrastructure, rail, and transit projects across the New York metropolitan area. This individual will play a critical leadership role in design management, client coordination, and construction administration as part of our PM/CM Project Delivery Team.
Responsibilities Design & Construction Oversight
  • Lead the coordination and management of project teams, including internal staff and external consultants.
  • Oversee scheduling and progress of architectural and design efforts across multiple project phases.
  • Review and respond to design submissions, construction submittals, and RFIs to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct and document field inspections to ensure compliance with construction contracts and design intent.
  • Resolve design and technical issues during all project stages, including change management and implementation.
Client & Team Collaboration
  • Facilitate coordination among clients, agency stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and engineering teams.
  • Prepare and present meeting materials; lead discussions and work sessions focused on project-specific elements.
  • Manage and communicate project plans and strategies related to scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Architect to align work with overall project and firm goals.
  • Provide mentorship and contribute to the professional development of junior team members.
Documentation & Tools
  • Oversee the development and assembly of architectural contract documents using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Microsoft Word.
  • Maintain accurate and timely project documentation including submittals, substitutions, RFIs, and field reports.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Licensed/Registered Architect (NY license preferred; NJ license also acceptable)
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in managing complex A/E/C projects
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes, NYC and ADA requirements, and modern construction methods
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with Revit, MicroStation, and other architectural design software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead coordination efforts
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to manage competing deadlines and project demands
