About the Role:

The Senior Workover Foreman plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and managing workover operations within the oil and gas extraction and mining sectors. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely execution of well maintenance, repair, and enhancement activities to maximize production and extend well life. The foreman will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, rig crews, and safety personnel, to implement workover plans while adhering to regulatory and company standards. A key outcome of this role is to minimize downtime and operational risks through proactive planning, resource management, and problem-solving on site. Ultimately, the Senior Workover Foreman ensures that all workover projects meet quality, safety, and budgetary objectives, contributing to the overall success of the extraction operations in Mabee, 608.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in oilfield operations is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in oil and gas workover operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Strong knowledge of well intervention techniques, rig equipment, and safety protocols specific to workover activities.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in high-pressure environments while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.
  • Valid certifications related to rig safety, hazardous materials handling, and first aid as required by industry regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with advanced well stimulation and completion technologies.
  • Familiarity with digital workover management systems and software tools for operational tracking.
  • Leadership training or certification in project management methodologies.
  • Previous experience working in the Mabee, 608 region or similar operational environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily workover operations, ensuring all activities comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to develop and execute detailed workover plans and schedules.
  • Manage and mentor workover crews, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high operational standards.
  • Monitor equipment condition and availability, arranging for maintenance or replacement to prevent operational delays.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential hazards during workover procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of workover activities, including reports on progress, incidents, and resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment required for workover jobs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and local regulations throughout all phases of workover operations.
