Duties and Responsibilities

Set up welding machines and equipment

Weld, cut, and grind aluminum of different widths

Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc or other

welding equipment

Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications

or drawings

Follows weld and assembly requirements of drawings for assigned product by

using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical,

horizontal or overhead)

Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or

arc

Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements;

following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for

repairs

Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and

fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts

produced

Compensation: $19-24/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

1+ years of TIG welding experience or equivalent training

TIG Certification AWS D1.2 (or able to achieve within 60 days of employment)

Successful completion of CIT weld test

Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures

Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing

(face shield, gloves, PPE, etc.)

Deftness and attention to detail null
