What Youll Do
  • Assemble electrical components and systems with precision.
  • Install conduit and pull wire as part of full system builds.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to guide your work.
  • Support field testing, maintenance, and equipment setup.
  • Assist commissioning leads with load bank operations and data reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and inspection checklists.
  • Collaborate with experienced technicians and learn from the best.
Job Duties
  • Assist in testing and maintaining site/field equipment under close supervision.
  • Support installation, rearrangement, and removal of equipment and wiring at customer sites or company locations.
  • Help test, move, repair, and adjust equipment based on trouble reports.
  • Perform routine testing and inspections to ensure compliance with NETA specifications and sound construction practices.
  • Prep equipment for testing as directed by the commissioning lead.
  • Operate load banks and equipment safely using proper PPE.
  • Report testing results and scheduling updates to the Lead Test Technician.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports and checklists.
Qualifications
  • 23 years of experience with a High School diploma (3rd year apprentice or higher preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of test instruments and solid math skills.
  • Comfortable using computers, iPads, and barcode scanners.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs (team lift required for heavier loads).
  • Able to stand for long periods and work at heights.

Work Environment
  • Pre-fabricated facility with heating (no A/C).
  • PPE provided during orientation (bring your own steel-toed boots).
  • Weekly schedule:
    • MonThu: 5:30 AM 4:00 PM
    • Fri: 5:30 AM 2:00 PM
    • Total: Minimum 48 hours/week

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
