Electro-Mechanical Technician Location: South Hackensack, NJ Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and complex electrical/mechanical repairs on all plant machinery.
  
  
• Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems to minimize downtime.
  
  
• Utilize machine shop skills for fabrication and repairs.
  
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for assembly and repair.
  
  
• Participate in new equipment installations, upgrades, and other special projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  
  
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated electro-mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, basic PLC knowledge, and intermediate/expert skill with electrical controls.
  
  
• Fabrication Skills: Proficiency in general machine shop abilities. Welding experience (MIG, TIG, Arc) is a plus.
  
  
• Professional Skills: Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Perform hands-on preventative maintenance and complex electrical/mechanical repairs on all plant machinery and equipment.
  
  
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems to minimize production downtime.
  
  
• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine methods and sequences of repair and assembly.
  
  
• Fabrication & Welding: Utilize machine shop tools and perform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding for fabrication and repair tasks as needed.
  
  
• Project Support: Participate in new equipment installations, facility modifications, and other special projects assigned by management.
  
  
• Equipment Upkeep: Maintain all department tools and equipment, including managing inventory and coordinating repairs.
