DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Medium Voltage Electrician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs to a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment, power supply and lighting systems, fire alarm systems, traffic light controls, carbon monoxide analyzing systems, and tunnel ventilation fans. You will be tasked with locating and analyzing electrical circuitry faults and defective electrical components by means of interpreting drawings and schematics, and through the use of test equipment. You will also install electrical devices, fixtures, cables, and conduits in accordance with accepted standards and codes of the electrical trade. Within this role, it is imperative to promote a culture that emphasizes safety as a core value and ensure that safety is incorporated into all discussions, deliberations, and decisions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position may require rotating shift work due to 24/7 operations.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Five years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Conditions of Employment:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
