Fitter/Fabricator/Welder

Superior Skilled Trades is hiring an experienced Fitter/Fabricator/Welder for immediate work in Cocoa, FL. This is a temp-to-perm position offering full-time hours, steady work, and the opportunity to join a reliable, safety-focused team.

Job Details:
Pay: $23 $25/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Hours: 40+ hours per week, with overtime as needed
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temp-to-perm
Location: Cocoa, FL

Job Summary:
As a Fitter/Fabricator/Welder, you will assemble and weld structural steel components based on blueprints and layouts. Youll use Flux Core Arc Welding (F.C.A.W.) and other fabrication tools to ensure parts are cut, fit, and joined accurately and safely. Youll work closely with a team to complete high-quality projects on time.

Responsibilities:
Read and follow blueprints and layout drawings
Measure, cut, and fit steel components precisely
Weld using Flux Core Arc Welding (F.C.A.W.)
Operate fabrication equipment (track torch, grinders, hand/power tools)
Perform layout work with strong math and measuring skills
Follow all job site safety rules and company policies
Work as part of a team to meet project goals

What Were Looking For:
Strong layout and math skills
Knowledge of pre-heat processes for welding
Ability to set up and use a track torch
Must pass F.C.A.W. Flux Core welding tests
Able to communicate and work well with coworkers, supervisors, and clients
Willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays if needed

Requirements:
3+ years of experience in structural steel fitting/fabrication preferred
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, crouching, twisting, working at heights)
Must have reliable transportation
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
PPE required: welding hood, steel toed boots, etc.
