Heavy Equipment Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Bulldozer/Excavator/Skid Steer Operator to perform trenching and backfill work for new electrical construction in Virginia.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, and articulated dump trucks for civil construction tasks.
+ Perform trenching and backfill work efficiently and safely.
+ Work closely with onsite laborers to complete construction projects.
+ Ensure adherence to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE gear.
+ Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality as the role is production-based.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years experience operating excavators and dozers.
+ Proficiency in fine grade work with bulldozers and excavators.
+ Understanding and application of GPS technology for heavy equipment.
+ Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3rd party certifications for bulldozer/excavator operations.
+ Solar construction experience is advantageous.
+ Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

**Work Environment**
Work on multiple civil closeout sites in new construction settings, exposed to elements such as hot and humid conditions in the summer. The initial schedule is 50-hour weeks from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM with lunch and short breaks. Safety is paramount with required PPE including hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, reflective vests, and gloves.

This is a Contract position based out of Farnham, Virginia.
**Pay** : $28 - $32/h and $2000 per diem/monthly.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
