Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our Resilience Environment team in Milwaukee, WI.

As a Environmental Engineer, you will collaborate with scientists, engineers, project managers, and technical experts on various activities in support of diverse environmental assessments and remediation projects. You will be involved in a mix of technical work, such as remediation system detailed design, operation and maintenance of systems, and project management tasks, such as coordinating fieldwork conducted out of other offices and managing project schedules and budgets.

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you will assist the development of environmental remedial systems and in-situ technology treatment designs and assessments, including detailed design drawings, technical specifications, and design calculations, and assist with the development of Treatment Systems and Remedial Designs; this includes the coordination of process control descriptions, piping & instrumentation diagrams, startup plans, and/or other required supporting documents.

  • Perform and coordinate design activities within the Process Mechanical Discipline
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (i.e. electrical, structural, civil, architectural)
  • Startup activities for treatment systems
  • Perform remedial system operation and maintenance (O&M), and monitoring. Assist in preparation of O&M reports
  • Be a leader who can provide mentoring and training junior engineers as well

This role will require field work about 25% of the time.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Engineer-In-Training certification or Professional Engineering license
  • US Citizen

Preferred:

  • MS in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or closely related field
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and appropriate annual refresher certifications

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $68187 - $129385. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
