SUMMARY
Maintains the operation of electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of machinery, electrical equipment and all facilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Ensures operation of electrical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on transformers, voltage regulators, machinery wiring; following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications; troubleshooting
Repairs electrical systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; determining faulty wiring; inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery
Maintains electrical equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
Prepares electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with Safety procedures, rules, and regulations
Follow Environmental Management (EMS) procedures to protect the environment.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or Six to Twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Journeyman electrician licenses.
Must have knowledge of electrical schematic diagrams and blueprints.
