Straight pay: $44.70/hr

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 3 years of mechanical design and engineering experience with NX and Teamcenter
• Experience in engine or APU design
• Proven application of ASME Y14.5 drawing standards including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), both in generating drawings and checking drawings generated by others

• Experience in Conceptual Design, Preliminary Design, and Detailed Design phases
• Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, consistently taking the initiative to get things done

• Imagine, design, and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team
• Collaborate across engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet customer needs
• Participate in all phases of product development
• Design engineering using CAD-based modeling
• Conduct engineering analysis and weight optimization
• Design for Manufacturing and cost estimation
• Present products effectively
• Incorporate the Voice of Customer into designs
