Title:
Industrial Project Engineer

Duties:
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, and develop project plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Review designs using Autodesk and Bluebeam Revu software, providing technical inputs to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with client requirements. Assist engineers in resolving design challenges and compile RFIs for subcontractors.
Coordinate with field engineers and professionals to meet project milestones and owner specifications, overseeing installation of systems like plumbing, HVAC, MEP, masonry, and concrete slabs.
Regularly publish two-week schedules in MS Project, develop budgets, estimate costs, and monitor expenditures, implementing cost control measures to optimize quality and savings.
Work with procurement teams to source materials, negotiate contracts, and manage project buyouts through market research and value engineering.
Effectively allocate and manage resources, optimize labor, equipment, and material utilization, and ensure just-in-time material delivery and staging.
Establish quality standards, conduct inspections, address discrepancies, and collaborate with inspectors to ensure compliance with construction specifications.
Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, monitor safety regulations, and inspect worksites for hazards, recommending improvements as needed.
Monitor project progress through site visits, ensuring work quality and adherence to plans, while resolving on-site issues.
Evaluate and communicate change requests, reviewing subcontractor proposals for accuracy and contract conformance.
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, provide updates, address concerns, and resolve conflicts using overlays, markups, and drawings.
Keep accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports, equipment logs, and weekly dashboards for management and stakeholders.

Education:
U.S. Master of Science in Industrial Engineering or a closely related subject matter. Graduate Coursework to include coursework in Project Management (3 credits).

Experience:
18 months of experience as an Industrial Engineer or closely related position.

Skills:
Experience to include, 18 months of experience in: Process Improvement; Design Implementation; Quality Control; Project Reporting; Value Engineering and Scheduling

Travel Requirements:
The only travel required is when the Applicant relocates to unanticipated client locations anywhere in the U.S. for long-term assignments.

Hours:
Number of hours per week: 40
Daily Work Schedule: Mon to Fri 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
