Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to provide production support to both the machining and assembly areas. This role involves working within the commercial engineering sector, specifically focusing on fire and emergency plumbing and body designs. The position requires analyzing engineering sketches, specifications, related data, and drawings to determine critical design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide production support to the machining and assembly areas.
  • Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings.
  • Determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
  • Sketch rough layouts and compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes.
  • Plan and formulate engineering programs.
  • Organize project staff according to project requirements.

  • Experience in mechanical engineering or design is preferred

Work Environment

Work in an office setting focused on design, collaborating with both internal and external customers. Join a small company with a large engineering team of 17 people, with plans to expand by adding four more engineers due to growth. The unique product line includes firetrucks, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Marion, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
