This role is more than facility management its about shaping the workplace experience for every associate who walks through our doors. As the campus-wide steward of comfort, safety, and sustainability, you will set the standard for operational excellence while driving forward-looking improvements that support Wawas growth.
Youll lead a talented team, partner with trusted vendors, and influence projects that range from daily maintenance to enterprise-level renovations. Your leadership will directly impact associate productivity, wellbeing, and engagement making our corporate campus a true reflection of Wawas values.
What Youll Do
- Strategic Leadership: Drive the long-term vision for the campus environment by developing and executing facility master plans, life-cycle management of building systems, and sustainability initiatives.
- Campus-Wide Impact: Oversee the upkeep and performance of our corporate headquarters and surrounding properties with a focus on comfort, safety, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility.
- Capital & Renovation Projects: Lead major renovations, space reconfigurations, ergonomic enhancements, and construction projects that align with organizational goals.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Negotiate and oversee vendor relationships, ensuring consistent quality and accountability.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to fire life safety requirements across corporate and store networks, while setting the tone for a culture of safety.
- Team Leadership: Build, coach, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service and foster career development opportunities.
- 24/7 Responsibility: Serve as the primary leader for building-related emergencies. While most responsibilities fall within normal business hours, flexibility and availability outside of standard hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential to ensure uninterrupted campus operations.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in a related field or 5+ years of facilities management experience.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing both associates and vendors.
- Experience in building operations, service-level agreements, and groundskeeping.
- Technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, B.A.S., life safety, and fire suppression systems.
- Strong skills in negotiation, project management, and communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
