As an Equipment Operator at JWright Companies, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery for a variety of construction and civil projects. This position requires experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and other machinery.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment to perform tasks such as excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and loading materials.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on machinery to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
- Follow project plans, specifications, and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to minimize risks and accidents.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate operations and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and site requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, or similar machinery.
- Knowledge of construction practices, grading techniques, and excavation procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and grade stakes (preferred).
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Valid drivers license; CDL is a plus.
- Physical ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
