As a Mechanical Engineer II at EPS, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the design, development, and testing of game-changing equipment, components, and systems. What You'll Do:

In this role, you'll be part of a dedicated team working on exciting projects that include:

  • Battery Module and Pack Design.
  • Designing innovative packaging for battery cells, BMS, and other vital components.
  • Integrating propulsion equipment into state-of-the-art aerospace vehicle prototypes.
  • Implementing cutting-edge cooling techniques to optimize battery performance.
  • Finding creative ways to reduce volume, weight, and cost while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Designing components for ease of manufacturing using methods like CNC machining, 3D printing, and more.
  • Ensuring components can withstand rigorous structural testing procedures, including shock, vibration, and impact.

Re quirements:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering to lay the foundation for your work.
  • 2-4 years of engineering experience, including expertise in CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal weldments, casting, and 3D printing.
  • Proficiency in producing 2D mechanical prints with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Experience with thermal analysis and design for manufacturing, cost, and requirements.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and a strong interest in battery technology.
  • Knowledge of common materials like metals, plastics, and composites.
  • CAD design experience using SolidWorks to bring your ideas to life.
  • The ability to perform stress analysis using classical mechanics and FEA.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A willingness to travel as needed to collaborate with our global teams.
