Job Summary

The Division Operations Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategy for a single line of business for multiple offices within a medium size division to position the company in the industry and to ensure competitive edge. Makes sure certain project management resources are allocated timely and efficiently, and have appropriate expertise. Management of business line may include sales, development of talent, performance management, line of business budget, market analysis, risk management, and negotiation of contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Basic knowledge of safety, legal, employment law, and procurement policies and procedures
Basic understanding of information technology issues and software
Basic industry knowledge
General business acumen
Basic financial acumen, understanding of financials such as Project Gross Margin (PGM), revenue, overhead costs, and division/department income statements
Basic knowledge of budgeting process and systems
Knowledge of management techniques and administrative practices
Knowledge of Company programs, policies, processes, and organizational structure
Basic knowledge of division administrative policies and procedures
Basic knowledge of Human Resource programs, policies, and procedures
Good employee relations and client service skills; ability to develop and maintain key relationships; negotiation and influencing skills
Presentation skill
Fundamental strategic and business planning skills
Intermediate problem solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve)
Conflict management skills
Knowledge of change management methodologies
Project management skills
Leadership ability (team building, coaching, mentoring, change management, advising)

Management Responsibilities Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates. General Management Construction Services Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years progressive experience in management of relevant business line and related technology. Strong industry knowledge for Line of Business. Strong industry knowledge for Line of Business.

Certifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
