Estimator Manager
Job Description

The Estimator Manager will play a crucial role in collaborating with the Sales and Pre-Construction teams to accurately assess the size, scope, and deadlines of various projects. This position is responsible for preparing detailed and precise material take-offs using specialized software and developing comprehensive proposals based on thorough cost analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with Sales and Pre-Construction teams to understand project size, scope, and deadlines.
  • Prepare accurate material take-offs using company software from contractor, architect, and developer plans.
  • Determine labor and material costs for proposal pricing and obtain buyout item pricing according to specifications.
  • Analyze costs related to shop labor, detailing labor, and material requirements.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to explore potential value engineering opportunities.
  • Manage bid pricing from vendors and develop detailed project proposals.
  • Ensure estimates are completed on time to meet strict bid schedules.
  • Prepare budgets and hard bids for projects.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Manage architectural metals bid log and obtain accurate bid statistics.
  • Conduct post-bid negotiations to finalize scopes of work and assign values to revised or deleted items.
  • Support Project Management staff with pricing issues on major project revisions.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience estimating and bidding miscellaneous metals and structural steel construction projects.
  • 5+ years of experience working with AISC standards.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of shop fabrication and processes.
  • Desire to advance personal and team growth within the company.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
