The Estimator at Chandler Exhibits is an experienced professional responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mid-to-large-scale projects within the fixture design and fabrication industry. This role plays a critical part in our company by analyzing project requirements, interpreting design documents, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver detailed, timely, and well-supported estimates.
This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assess material, labor, and production costs to ensure profitable and feasible project proposals. The Estimator works closely with project managers, engineering, and production teams to align estimates with project goals and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, bid documents, and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and operations teams to determine labor and material requirements.
- Prepare vendor RFQs as required for the solicitation of quotations as required for the preparation of the cost estimate.
- Develop complete bid proposals, including pricing, value engineering options, inclusions, and clarifications.
- Review all proposal drawings and applicable documents prepared by Chandlers Engineering Department and vendors for compliance with the bid documents.
- Track actual project costs against estimates to assess cost effectiveness and support future pricing accuracy.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to support collaboration and accurate cost sourcing.
- Support the preparation and timely submission of formal bid packages and proposals.
- Maintain and update historical bid and budget data for future reference.
- Education: BA/BS in Business Administration, Construction Management or related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Skills and Experience: 3-5 years of experience in pricing or estimating, preferably with wood, metal, acrylic, doors and windows.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office. Intermediate Excel skills.
- Proficient in drawings and specification reading
- Ability to analyze, compare, and interpret detailed information

Pay Range
$75,000 - $85,000 (+ profit sharing)
The actual base salary offered will vary based on factors such as relevant skills, prior experience, education, and demonstrated performance. In addition to your base salary, you will be eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
