Forklift Operator Job Description As a Forklift Operator, you will primarily operate a Sit Down Lift at a non-climate controlled paper and cardboard recycling center. You will also engage in cleaning and general labor tasks, particularly during the first two weeks of your role. Responsibilities Operate a Sit Down Forklift for 70% of your shift. Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping paper during the first two weeks. Load and unload paper bales. Train on Clamp Truck and Skid Steer operations. Engage in general labor and clean-up activities. Maintain a safety-first mindset and adhere to all OSHA and company policies. Handle inventory and materials safely and efficiently. Essential Skills Experience with Sit Down Forklift and 6K Forklift operations. Comfortable with standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate heavy equipment properly and safely. Familiarity with clamp truck and skid steer operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfortable working non climate control Must be coachable and willing to learn new equipment. Why Work Here?
