We are seeking a dependable and skilled Concrete Laborer with hands-on experience in concrete demolition and finishing. This role involves supporting demolition, preparation, and finishing of concrete surfaces on commercial and industrial job sites. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with power tools, including gas-powered cut-off saws, and performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Operate gas-powered demo saws to cut through concrete slabs, walls, and foundations with precision. Use chisels, sledgehammers, and jackhammers to break up and remove old concrete structures. Follow layout markings and instructions from foremen to ensure accurate cuts and minimal disruption to surrounding areas. Clear job sites of debris, snow, and overgrowth to reduce hazards and prepare for concrete work. Set up and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding, shoring, and formwork. Use brooms, shovels, and carts to maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist in mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete using hand tools and power equipment. Position and secure steel bars or mesh in forms to reinforce concrete. Apply curing and sealing compounds to protect finished surfaces. Regularly use saws, drills, crowbars, hammers, and other hand and power tools. Operate small equipment such as skid steers or RTFLs to move materials and clear sites. Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe operation. Adhere to OSHA safety standards and wear appropriate PPE at all times. Participate in daily safety meetings and report any hazards or unsafe practices. Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently. Essential Skills 1+ year of experience in concrete labor or demolition work. Proficient in operating concrete demo saws and other power tools. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions from supervisors. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 10 certification preferred. Experience with blueprint reading and layout marking. Familiarity with skid steers, forklifts, or other site equipment. Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and surface treatments. Why Work Here?
