Job Description Summary

As the Architect - Advanced Documentation Technologies within the Global Services team at GE HealthCare, you will define, prototype, develop, and deliver our most advanced technical documentation technologies for our global teams of Field Service Engineers. You will own the definition of technology, and execution of, the latest in CAD based animation, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Generative AI solutions and how they fit in medical equipment installation, service, and training.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Expand AR experiences to enable faster and higher quality field service. Work closely with the Global Service Chief Engineering Office to publish engineering standards and measure adoption by multiple engineering teams.
  • Drive the integration of AI, AR, text, and video into a real-time step-by-step tool for guided and documented service.
  • Lead GE HealthCare (GEHC) teams around the world to develop service methods and training incorporating new technology.
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders, identify technology projects and create project plans for successful, on-time delivery.
  • Help lead suppliers, contractors, and other internal developers that provide the latest technologies and industry best practices. Monitor team performance and publish results to leadership.
  • Create budgets, identify funding sources, and generate purchase orders for technology development and deployment systems.
  • Enable faster, consistent delivery of new documentation in multi-media forms including text, pictures, video, and AR/VR
  • Capture stakeholder feedback and take corrective actions as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields with at least 6 years of experience
  • Experience with development of AR/VR applications on Unity or Unreal platforms.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven record of accomplishment leading successful innovation projects
  • At least 5 years of leadership in a technology business with global influence
  • Strong team player - collaborates well with others at global locations to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate across various levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcomes.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with industrial Augmented Reality applications such as Vuforia, CareAR, and/or ScopeAR
  • Experience with multiple modalities at a medical device manufacturer
  • Demonstrated ability to "see around the corner" for future technology trends.
  • Demonstrated knowledge about applied Generative AI
