If you have an eye for detail, a steady hand, and the ability to deliver flawless finishes on complex aircraft surfaces, this is your opportunity to shine. **About the Role:** As an Aircraft Painter, you'll play a critical part in ensuring that aircraft components meet high standards of appearance, durability, and compliance. Your work will directly contribute to the readiness, safety, and integrity of aerospace platforms used in commercial and defense aviation. **What You'll Be Doing:** + Apply aerospace primers, topcoats, and finish coatings on simple to complex product configurations + Mix paints to precise specifications using manual or powered tools + Perform masking, sanding, racking, and surface prep (including alodine, solvents, and abrasives) + Read and follow engineering blueprints, planning documents, and specs + Use precision tools to inspect and verify paint applications meet standards + Operate and maintain paint sprayers, mixing equipment, and hand tools + Conduct routine rework, touch-up, and incorporation of engineering changes + Document work and comply with air quality and safety regulations + Wear appropriate PPE, including respirators, Tyvek suits, and protective eyewear **Required Qualifications:** + Prior experience with aircraft painting or industrial spray application + Ability to distinguish subtle color variations and apply coatings with high precision + Comfortable reading engineering drawings and following written instructions + Steady hands and strong manual dexterity for precise application work + Must pass background checks and be available to start immediately **Required Training (to be completed and passed):** + Respiratory Protection (Air Supplied Painter Hood, Full-Face & Half-Face) + Hexavalent Chromium Medical Surveillance + Hexavalent Chrome Regulated Area Safety **Preferred Skills:** + Experience applying final topcoat finishes and complex multi-layer paint systems + Familiarity with DYNOL and MA25 application standards + Understanding of BAC, OSHA, and customer-specific paint protocols **Why Join PDS Tech Commercial?** At PDS Tech Commercial, you're more than a contractoryou're a craftsman contributing to something greater.
