About the Opportunity Were looking for a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join our team on one of the most transformative infrastructure projects in the region: the Midtown Port Authority Bus Terminal Redevelopment . This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in reimagining a critical piece of New York Citys transportation network.Youll work alongside a highly skilled team of professionals, contributing to a high-impact, high-visibility project that will help define the future of urban mobility.
Key Responsibilities
- Support field operations and coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure timely, high-quality execution.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications; develop detailed work plans and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, project specifications, and safety regulations.
- Manage material takeoffs, procurement, and delivery schedules.
- Oversee project closeout, including financial reconciliation with subcontractors and the Owner.
- Maintain rigorous document control and subcontractor compliance tracking.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings, mockups, and scopes of work.
- Enforce OSHA and environmental safety standards on-site.
- Work with QA/QC teams to resolve non-compliance issues.
- Identify critical path activities and long-lead procurement needs.
- Assist with schedule development, updates, and subcontractor coordination.
- Support monthly billing, cash flow forecasts, and change order processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 510 years of experience on heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on complex projects valued at $100 million+ .
- Strong background in cost tracking and financial management.
- Familiarity with construction law, contracts, and claims processes.
- Proficient in interpreting construction documents and technical specifications.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Proficiency in Procore and Primavera P6 .
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with bridge or major transportation infrastructure is a plus.
