Responsibilities We are looking for an Engineering Technician to support our Globe Boot production in Auburn, ME. While reporting to the Quality Department, the successful incumbent will have the opportunity to optimize efficiency and perform various Quality Assurance functions for the production facility. This role will contribute to strengthening our commitment to our customer and our customer's loyalty to MSA. If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, we want to hear from you! Specific Responsibilities: Recommend and assist our engineers with manufacturing process design changes to increase efficiency throughout our facility Assist our engineers with new product development and/or design concern resolution through verification of proposed design changes Work with Operations and Engineering to resolve concerns with product function or design Support manufacturing associates with issue resolution and tracking Participate on internal and external project teams that support plant operating initiatives Actively advocate for behavior-based safety and recommend ergonomic improvements Review errors and rework to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions Perform research and root cause analysis of Customer Quality Notifications (CQN's),Internal Quality Notification IQN's and SQN's; Intervention and troubleshooting with supplier/supplied components and full support of our Operating System reviews as pertaining to Operations. Day to day problem solving requirements as they pertain to boot manufacturing; nteract with various support groups within MSA Support QE's with NPD projects including implementation of Safe Launch; MSE's etc. KPI's include but not limited to OOB metrics; Scrap metrics; CQN metrics; FPY metrics, and Rework metrics Administer metrological control of measuring and testing equipment and devices that affect the quality of products and their processes Serve as liaison between auditor and Operations support groups; tour guide and host for audits along with responsibility for the Quality Management System. Address audit observations and findings Develop procedures, forms, spreadsheets of records and other documents of the Information System for Quality Management Daily and monthly audit checkups; scheduling and support of internal and external audit requirements. Use and development of iAuditor data base and systems. Develop and publish dashboards as generated in Power BI Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of process controls and reaction plans Qualifications Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required: Solid interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence attitudes and behaviors Ability to manage workload and support multiple projects simultaneously Solid verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational, problem-solving, and team-building skills Demonstrated customer centric focus Experience in a cutting & sew operation is a plus Occasional travel may be required (
