Duties
Help
You will act as an Assistant Chief Test Engineer-Weapons in Code 290.
You will assist the Chief Test Engineer (CTE-W) with the development, direction, scheduling and coordinion of a test program on the submarines.
You will assist the CTE-W with maintaining the day-to-day progress, conditions and stus of testing.
You resolving emergent problems th may delay project completion.
You will plan and execute assignments and projects to meet overall objectives.
You will ensure the timelessness and cost effectiveness of the work performed.

You required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirors, and safety shoes continuously for the durion of the work shift.
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, he, ionizing and non-ionizing radiion and chemicals). You required to participe in medical surveillance programs.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
This position may require travel from normal duty stion to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isoled sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualificions
GS-12
Your resume must demonstre least one year of specialized experience or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the prive or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstre the following:
Experience with submarine weapons systems, opering principles, component functions, and testing requirements.
Experience working within a comb system test program on one or more new overhaul submarines.
Experience using mechanical and electrical weapons systems and equipment.
Experience applying the principles and theories of physical and engineering sciences, and practices of electronics, electrical and mechanical engineering.
Must be LTE-W qualified.

You will act as an Assistant Chief Test Engineer-Weapons in Code 290.
You will assist the Chief Test Engineer (CTE-W) with the development, direction, scheduling and coordinion of a test program on the submarines.
You will assist the CTE-W with maintaining the day-to-day progress, conditions and stus of testing.

Experience with submarine weapons systems, opering principles, component functions, and testing requirements.
Experience working within a comb system test program on one or more new overhaul submarines.
Experience using mechanical and electrical weapons systems and equipment.
Experience applying the principles and theories of physical and engineering sciences, and practices of electronics, electrical and mechanical engineering.
Must be LTE-W qualified.
