We are looking for a Development Manager to jointhe Development Group at CAVA, helping us reach new communities with each newlocation Example: Summarizes cases and prepares reports for theManager.

What Youll Do:
Responsiblefor coordinating with multiple cross-functional partners during pre-lease anddesign phases, to ensure site feasibility and compliance with Cava standards.Perform preliminary site visits as needed.
Responsiblefor performing, coordinating, and/or overseeing daily project managementactivities during construction and close-out phases for the national expansionof CAVA restaurants, CAVA Products production facilities.
AssistReal Estate and Design teams in the evaluation of prospective locations andprovide feedback on draft Letter of Intent and/or Landlord Work Letter.
Workwith key internal stakeholders and manage the preparation of schedules forreview/approval by corporate leadership.
Preparebudgets for projects and manage progressive budgets during project execution.Partner with RE and Design team members to validate scope and input data intocost projections and pro-formas.
Partnerwith internal stakeholders and third-party consultants to ensure thorough duediligence is performed for projects.
Advisedesign team/consultants/vendors during design development phase, on mattersrelated to constructability, means and methods, and cost. Bring in Contractorsfor additional input as needed.
Reviewdesign documents and specifications, provide feedback relative toconstructability, budget, and schedule impacts.
ManageGC Bid process, from issuing Request for Quotes, through Validating/NegotiatingBids, obtain required department leadership approvals for final Contract Award.
AssistDesign team in obtaining Landlord approvals of CAVAs design, as required.
Partnerwith Design, Architects of Record, and Expediters to ensure building and otherpermits required for CAVAs build out are obtained.
Coordinatethe transfer of existing utility accounts, and/or if required, installation ofnew utility services.
Manageday-to-day site issues as they occur during construction phase.
Moderateregular progress meetings and perform routine site visits to ensure CAVAproject goals are achieved (standard branding, quality, schedule, cost, etc),provide high-level status updates to Department and Company leadership.
Coordinatewith Marketing/Operations on any pre-opening efforts, as required.
Ensureopenings are successfully executed with minimal outstanding items and overseehigh-quality Turnovers to Operations Team.
Ensureall OSI items are priced and procured accordingly for individual restaurantprojects, manage Vendors for project-specific needs.
Coordinatewith Operations team in scheduling delivery of loose equipment and/or goodsrequired to commence staff training and open for operations.
SupportOperations/Facilities teams post-occupancy on significant repairs and/orrenovations and ensure all construction warranty items are addressed and closedout in a timely manner.
Review,negotiate and administer contractor and vendor contracts for projects
Maintaindetailed files for all projects in accordance with CAVA filing standards.
Performproject close-out administration, including but not limited to ensuringEntitlements for individual projects are obtained and all permits are fullyclosed-out, obtain a complete and accurate set of as-built drawings, withappropriate documentation in CAVA files and/or on site as applicable.
Workwith Department Lead and Finance for Capital Planning at a regular cadence.
Partnerwith Accounting to reconcile invoices at a regular cadence.
Evaluatecross-functional and vendor deliverables and collaborate with teams to developimproved process, planning/tracking documents and communication protocols.
Drivea culture of continuous improvement, evaluating successes and opportunities ofeach project. Turn information gathered into results that influence currentprocesses or recommend new/improved initiatives that drive results.
Ensureconstruction industry best practices are being applied for all projects.
Assistwith the onboarding and training of new team members. Strengthen existingcontractor/vendor partnerships by providing ongoing performance feedback andidentify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency. Cultivate newcontractor/vendor partnerships and assist in their onboarding/training.
The Qualifications:
Professionalcollege degree (engineering or construction management preferred)
ProjectManagement Certification (PMP) Preferred
Minimum8 years of post-collegiate experience in a relevant construction field.
Minimum5 years in a project management role overseeing retail roll-out constructionprojects, with at least 3 years in the restaurant/foodservice industry
Abilityto read/interpret construction drawings, specifications and other technicaldocuments.
Experiencein managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
Demonstratedability to effectively manage general contractors, specialty vendors, and otherprofessionals providing services for construction projects.
Knowledgeof all project documents, including but not limited to construction documents,specifications, GC contracts, purchase orders, standard daily correspondenceforms, submittals, RFIs.
Understandingof basic Lease terms.
Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project and Excel
Experienceusing cloud-based Project Management Platforms (such as Procore, Tririga,Lucernex)
Proficiencywith AutoCAD/REVIT, Bluebeam a plus
Abilityto travel up to 50%

Abilityto maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and otheroffice equipment
Mustbe able to identify, analyze and assess details
Forcertain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to50 pounds
