NOVERO Homes and Renovations is a full-service design and build team focused on strong workmanship. Were looking for a carpenters assistant looking to join our group immediately.
We have a diverse scope of projects to provide variety, and youll be surrounded by a great team of people both in office and on site. Our construction projects are located across the Lower Mainland, from Vancouver and the North Shore, to Tri-Cities and Abbotsford.
This exciting opportunity for a full-time carpenters assistant is ideal for an individual who has a hardworking nature and an overall understanding of carpentry. While working with experienced Carpenters and Site Supervisors within the residential field on various sizes and design styles of projects.
As a family-based company, were looking for a dynamic individual who will complement our close-knit team. We also require a well-rounded team member who is passionate about carpentry, creating, building, and interior/exterior spaces.
The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills; and the ability to work independently or as part of a team alongside our project manager, designers, and site team. You must own a vehicle and your own tools. You also have an interest in learning and growing within the business and being apart of a great group of individuals.
Responsibilities
- Pre- construction prep for job sites (ram board, countertop prep, protect rooms to prevent dust)
- Assist with all project demolition, taking materials to the dump
- Pick up and deliver materials, maintain company vehicles and storage room
- Assist the site team with all building and construction related tasks
- Have knowledge and experience in interior and exterior framing and residential finish carpentry.
Skills
Successful applicants must have the following:
- Prior residential construction experience; proven experience as a helper
- Minimum 1 year carpentry experience or equivalent education in carpentry please provide your background details to be considered for this position
- Be hard working, organized, reliable and punctual
- Hands on experience and overall knowledge and comfort level in working with carpentry tools, machines and materials
- Have an efficient understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction standards
- Work effectively alone as well as on a team, in a fast-paced environment
- Possess valid drivers license and must own their own vehicle (must be reliable transportation)
- Own basic carpentry tools; proficient in manual equipment and power tools
- Must know how to drive a cube truck and a truck with a trailer
Job Type: Full time/ Part time available
Experience: Min. 1 year in carpentry (required)
License or certification: Drivers license (required)
