About You

Our ideal candidate can envision the steps needed to accomplish and delegate civil engineering tasks. They think creatively and outside the box. We're hoping to find a supportive leader who prefers team success over individual glory.

We're looking for someone with:

3 to 5+ years' experience in civil engineering including open channel hydraulics, hydraulic modeling, and stream restoration

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering

SRH-2D modeling or HEC-RAS modeling experience

Strong work ethic, sense of humor, and desire for team success

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and ability to lead others as the task lead

The ability to meet and work with diverse clients and bring in new work

To thrive in this position, you may also have these qualifications:

Experience with bridge scour calculations, bank stabilization, design of large woody material (LWM), and fish passage.

Experience delivering projects for state transportation departments (WSDOT or ITD) and local agencies.

Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Washington or able to obtain within six months

Familiar with GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley InRoads and OpenRoads

WSDOT Fish Passage and Stream Restoration Design Certification

About the Role

In this position,you'llwork with a highly collaborative team to:

Lead fieldwork to assess stream conditions, stream bed material composition, embankment stability, and lateral migration potential

Determine riverine and tidal hydrology

Perform hydraulic analyses and design

Design large woody material (LWM) structures

Evaluates LWM design stability with and without anchor systems

Perform floodplain, floodway, zero rise, scour analysis, and other hydraulic analyses

Support design-bid-build, design-build, and progressive design-build pursuits

Mentor young engineers and technical staff

Location

This positionwill supportour Spokane office either in-person or remotely from the Inland Northwest. Occasional travel may be required to project sites in eastern and central Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon.
