Summary This posting is open to all qualified King County employees only.About the Role:The primary mission of this position is to coordinate with project teams and internal staff to achieve an accurate asset registry, the foundation of all successful asset management programs. To achieve this goal you will be inspecting all elements of construction projects related to assets and asset attribute data. You will also work closely with operations, maintenance, and reliability engineering staff to assist them with communicating updates to the asset registry throughout assets' lifecycle.About the Team:The primary focus of the Asset Management team is to monitor asset related risk and work to employ mitigation strategies under guidance of the Strategic Asset Management Plan. Our team of energetic subject matter experts are involved with quality control of asset data, conformance of capital projects with all asset management specifications, management of the Enterprise Asset Management System (Maximo) data base, retrieval of asset data in support of capital projects, managing the asset condition assessment program and providing input to the asset renewal forecast model supporting long and short range rate projections. Specific tasks include: Research and validate physical asset inventory against facility drawingsValidate asset attributes in the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) and update as requiredAssist with asset field tagging as needed Perform various asset related field inspection duties for current and past projects. Work with King County engineering, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) staff and facilities inspection personnel to determine asset data inspection needs; coordinate inspections with project managers or other persons supervising work for the contractor and contracting agency to support the collection of required asset dataMonitor interactions with the asset registry by projects or operations and maintenance staff. Perform quality control checks on data and verify adherence to approved workflows designed to maintain accuracy of asset data Gather and record asset lifecycle data.
