Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and hands on Junior Foreman to act as the right-hand to our site Foreman. You will support and lead on-site activities, with responsibilities ranging from demolition and abatement work to site cleanup and operational oversight. This role is ideal for someone with strong construction experience, a focus on safety, and at least four years in demolition and ideally abatement contexts. Theres opportunity for structured growth into full Foreman responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the eyes and ears for the Foreman: lead crew operations, maintain momentum, and proactively resolve issues.
Support oversight and execution of both demolition and hazmat/abatement projects.
Maintain site cleanliness, manage debris material, enforce segregation and disposal protocols.
Monitor tool and equipment usageensure theyre secured, maintained, and returned safely.
Assist with compliance to WorkSafeBC and Metro Vancouver waste diversion guidelines.
Conduct tool box talks, site safety observations, and FLRA checks; support safety-driven initiatives.
Follow and help enforce abatement procedures and hazmat handling per regulatory standards.
Provide real-time updates to Foreman and upper management, including photographs and site logs.
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to align progress and workflows.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 4 years total, with strong emphasis on demolition experience and preferred abatement experience.
Certifications: Asbestos Abatement Certification, WHMIS, Fall Protection, Confined Space, First Aidpreferred, not required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous exposure to industrial/commercial/residential demolition and abatement work environments.
Familiar with WorkSafeBC regulatory requirements and general site safety protocols.
Strong communication and leadership instincts; capable of mentoring less experienced crew members.
Comfortable with loud, dusty, and physically-intensive work conditions.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $24.00$30.00 CAD per hour (based on experience and fit)

Reporting Structure

Environments include industrial, commercial, and residential sites with potential exposure to noise, dust, debris, and seasonal weather conditions.
