Froude Management Inc. (FMI) is looking for an experienced Carpenter Supervisor for our construction projects. Experience in site work is preferred. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibility
Supervise and coordinate site carpentry teams and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality completion of work.
Interpret and work from construction drawings, specifications, and as-built documents to ensure accurate implementation of design intent.
Review construction documents and site conditions to identify potential issues, gaps, or conflicts before they impact progress.
Oversee layout, framing, formwork, and finish carpentry tasks, ensuring work meets company standards and project specifications.
Communicate daily with site managers, trades, engineers, and consultants to coordinate activities and resolve site challenges.
Monitor productivity and crew performance, adjusting work plans to stay on schedule and budget.
Ensure safety protocols and company policies are followed by all site personnel.
Track materials and coordinate deliveries, minimizing downtime and maintaining site efficiency.
Assist with estimating labour hours, materials, and equipment needed for self-perform scopes of work.
Participate in site meetings and contribute to planning and scheduling discussions.

Job Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or lead hand role. Must have an existing relationship and a good reputation with local clients, consultants, and subcontractors in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Red Seal Carpenter certification (or working toward it) preferred.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proven experience managing crews on commercial or institutional job sites.
Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
Hands-on experience with formwork, framing, layout, and finishing.
Ability to lead by example, communicate clearly, and maintain a productive job site.
Familiarity with construction schedules, change orders, and subcontractor coordination.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing site conditions.
Reputation for delivering high-quality work, maintaining safety, and working well with trades and project teams.
Valid drivers license or ability to travel to job sites in the Lower Mainland.
