The Electrical Construction Coordinator supports the electrical team ensuring collaboration with other departments and subcontractors. The Electrical Construction Coordinator will also help foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountabilityworking with a multidisciplinary team to deliver results in line with industry best practices and project objectives.

Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee schedules, budget tracking, scope development, procurement, inventory management, drawing reviews, coordination of technical inputs and deliverables, and maintenance of accurate project documentation.
  • Promote safety as a core value throughout all planning and execution activities.
  • Support the team in meeting all safety and compliance requirements.
  • Independently develop or manage existing documentation for Scopes of Work and Work Execution Plans related to electrical systems.
  • Support procurement processes by preparing purchase requisitions, assisting in vendor selection and commercial/technical evaluations, and supporting the process through delivery and invoicing.
  • Execute tasks independently using strong planning and organizational skills. Ensure compliance with internal policies and adaptability to project demands and changes.
  • Leverage strong communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, aligning project goals and resolving issues proactively.
  • Document and structure internal coordination meeting minutes, track follow-ups, clarify technical discussions, and maintain alignment between field activities and overall project objectives.
  • Manage documentation filing and revision control for all electrical-related deliverables.
  • Additional duties as required by the role.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage complexity and anticipate technical and operational challenges.
  • Results-oriented and highly organized with exceptional problem-solving skills.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical systems engineering and/or integration on major rail, subway, or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working within complex, multidisciplinary systems teams and successful integration of systems.
  • Proven track record using digital requirements management tools (preferably IBM DOORS Next Gen).

Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Certifications: EIT or P.Eng. designation is advantageous but not required.
