Assistant Project Manager Jobs in Iowa
Aid project manager as required, providing support in areas such as planning and budgeting. Assistant project managers are typically responsible for day-to-day administrative duties related to project management. They log documents, update spreadsheets and databases, and prepare work schedules. Because many of their tasks involve maintaining records and documentation, they are capable with computers—particularly Microsoft Office Suite— and have strong organizational skills.
Assistant project managers also coordinate between subcontractors, clients, and various departments, and so must have substantial interpersonal skills as well as a proficiency in verbal and written communication. As project managers may ask assistants to oversee some worksites, this position also demands a general working knowledge of the construction process, including pertinent equipment and methods.
