Mechanical Engineer Jobs
Develop mechanical and thermal systems and devices. Mechanical engineers make calculations for energy analysis, cooling and heating loads, and life cycle cost estimates in order to prepare reasonable schematics and specifications. Examples of products they might design are HVAC, fire protection, and pumping systems. Additionally, these personnel are typically proficient in using computer design software, such as AutoCAD.
When working in construction, mechanical engineers are frequently required to collaborate with contractors, clients, and other teams. They ensure that the mechanical factors are geometrically proportioned and shaped to fit with all parts of the building, such as electrical wiring and structural components. Thus, communication and collaboration skills are essential for engineers involved in these projects.
