Alphanumeric is hiring a Contract Manager to support an environmentally conscious energy innovator focused on building a sustainable future. This role is part of the New Generation Systems (NGS) Project Execution Team, overseeing contractual obligations for large-scale design, delivery, start-up, and commissioning projects.
As a key business partner to Project Managers, you will manage risk, monitor milestones, maintain contract integrity, and contribute to project success by reducing liabilities and maximizing financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management & Risk Oversight
Lead contract review and onboarding after project handoff from Commercial Operations
Ensure full understanding of contract requirements (scope, delivery terms, payment structures, liabilities, guarantees, reporting, etc.) by the project team
Maintain a living Risk Register with input from project leaders and update monthly or as needed for emerging risks
Identify and document liquidated damages, financial penalties, and key liability clauses
Commercial & Financial Coordination
Collaborate with Project Directors and Schedulers to establish and maintain critical milestone tracking aligned with Level 1 schedules
Support execution teams in correspondence, claims defense, and issue tracking throughout the project
Drive development of tools and processes to evaluate financial risk and support mitigation strategies
Ensure consistent use of standardized reporting and communication templates across projects
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a central resource for claims management-working closely with Legal, Supply Chain, Scheduling, Construction, and other teams
Partner with Financial Analysts and Project Managers to communicate risk reserves and revenue recognition impacts
Engage in lessons-learned and continuous improvement efforts related to contract standards, kickoff templates, and reporting formats
Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure EHS compliance and promote a culture of safety and ethical behavior
Collaborate in a global project environment, supporting domestic and international initiatives (up to 25% travel)
Support the preparation, distribution, and follow-up of meeting minutes, action items, and project documentation
Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a high level of accuracy in all contract activities
