Job Description:

The Underground Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of underground construction projects. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Foreman will lead a team of workers, coordinate with supervisors and engineers, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct all underground construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
• Lead and mentor a crew of workers, providing clear instructions and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any issues or delays and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, labor, and equipment usage.
• Order and manage materials and supplies needed for the project.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for crew members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Preferred 5 years of experience in underground construction.
• Strong knowledge of underground construction techniques, equipment, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and adapt to changing conditions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
