Job Description
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a WELDER, Position Description Number D1215000 and is part of the ID G4 CSMS, National Guard.
THIS POSITION IS AN INDEFINITE TEMPORARY BACKFILL . Current G4 technicians would be temporarily promoted and return to previous appointment and tenure when member returns.
THIS POSITION MAY CONVERT TO A PERMANENT STATUS WITHOUT FURTHER COMPETITION IF POSITION BECOMES AVAILABLE.
Military Grades : E1-E7

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience or training that has provided the candidate with the basic knowledge of welding processes. Must have knowledge of technical orders, blueprints, and specifications.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Experience or training demonstrating the application of a variety of electric resistance welding processes and equipment. Experience in using accepted trade methods and a variety of manual welding processes to weld all types of commonly used metals in various shapes, sizes, and thicknesses. Experience using a wider range of metal welding processes to make more difficult welds meeting close tolerance, strength, and other requirements. These welds may be in hard-to-reach places. Experience which allows the welder to devise special jigs and fixtures to hold the parts to be welded. Experience which demonstrates knowledge of several related trade procedures. Experience which enables the lay out and planning of work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, and work orders.
